I provide an optimistic, warm, and nurturing perspective in my practice. I see the opportunity to facilitate healing and growth as a privilege, and I am excited to work with my clients in order to make a positive difference in their lives. I help clients ground in the here and now, creating a reparative new experience where they feel seen, understood, and trusted.
In my work with children and adolescents, I collaborate with psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, teachers, educational specialists, and parents to create a network of support that facilitates growth in every area of a young person’s life. I take care to help children and adolescents identify their feelings and put words to them, growing confidence, resilience, and the understanding that they can face life’s challenges. I also specialize in play therapy, joining a child’s world with curiosity and an open mind to promote interpersonal development, cognitive skills, flexibility, memory, problem solving, coping skills, and emotional healing.
When working with parents, I strive to bring awareness to the present moment, providing effective conflict resolution, stress management, and improved communication. I explore themes of reflection and attunement while respecting parenting styles. I also offer ongoing 12 week, evidence-based reflective parenting groups which cover parenting themes such as attachment, separation and the development of independence, play and parental involvement, discipline, etc.
If my approach resonates with you, I offer a free 15 minute consultation.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and earned my Master’s Degree in clinical Psychology from Antioch University with a specialization in Child Studies. I began my clinical training at Open Paths Counseling Center, a nonprofit that offers therapeutic services to historically marginalized communities. I earned my certification in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as well as Reflective Parenting Training in preschool, elementary, and adolescent curricula through the Center for Reflective Communities. Alongside my work with individuals and families, I currently lead twelve week psychoeducation parenting classes.
